Lyz Parayzo, born in Rio de Janeiro in 1994, is a Brazilian artist based in Paris who works within a poetics of contestation, creating performances, jewelry, sculptures, installations, and drawings. She earned her master’s degree from the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2022 and was awarded the Jeudi des Beaux-Arts Prize by the Comité Professionnel des Galeries d'Art in Paris in 2023. Parayzo's work has been exhibited at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice (New York, USA), the Galeria Municipal do Porto (Porto, Portugal), the Museu de Arte de São Paulo  (MASP), the  Museu de Arte do Rio (MAR), the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo, 100% L'EXPO La Villette (2024), the Jerk Off Festival (2024, Paris), the Palais des Beaux-Arts, and in the Société Générale collection (Paris, France). She is one of the artists invited by curator Alexia Fabre for the 17th Lyon Biennale, opening in September this year. Her works are included in various national and international public collections, such as MASP, MAC-Niterói, Casa de Cultura da América Latina de Brasília, Arquipélago Centro de Artes de Portugal, Centro Cultural do Alumínio, and the Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo.
